The GPS Caddie II is ready to use out of the box without requiring any additional software or hardware for custom mapping. However, you'll need a computer and Internet access if you'd like to download pre-mapped golf courses from iGolf.com (subscription required). The GPS Caddie II--which comes with a USB cable, software CD, and belt clip--runs for up to 14 hours on two alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.
